Rector of Chile Universidad Católica de la Santisima Concepción Visited SWUFE

On 11th September, Kristin Schmitz, rector of Chile Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción, visited SWUFE. YIN Qingshuang, vice president of SWUFE, held the meeting in the meeting hall of Tengxiang Building. Representatives from (Office of International Exchange and Cooperation Institute, School of International Education and School of Foreign Languages for Economics and Trade also attended the meeting.

In the meeting, YIN Qingshuang showed welcome to Kristin Schmitz’s visit, introducing the history and reform, recent development, school-running characteristics, and internationalized development strategy. YIN Qingshuang said, since the two universities established the cooperation in 2006, senior leaders of both parties have established close connections, and teachers and students have frequently communicated. In the beginning of this year, SWUFE also successfully received teacher-student visit group from the Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción, which further strengthened the communication and cooperation between the two universities. SWUFE considered the Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción as an important cooperation partner in Latin America, and both parties has established well and mutual trust cooperation relations, layingg a solid foundation for the implementation of multiple-channel and deep cooperation in the future. He also indicated that this visit could be an opportunity for both parties to further deepen understanding and promote constant deepening of cooperation between two universities.

Kristin Schmitz expressed thanks to the warm reception of the university. He said, SWUFE was an important cooperation partner of Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción. In light of long-term and steady cooperation relation of two universities, Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción expected to further enlarge cooperation with SWUFE and cultivated new generation international talents with broad international insight and competitiveness.

After the meeting, Kristin Schmitz also visited the history museum of our university, further understanding the history of SWUFE and reform and development process. (School of International Education)
