On June 6th, Elsevier, the largest publisher in the world, officially launched CiteScore of journals. In 2018, CiteScore of Financial Innovation sponsored by SWUFE reached 2.4, ranking the 33rd among 251 journals in Economics, Econometrics and Finance: Finance, and exceeding 87% of the similar journals.
CiteScore is a new indicator that Elsevier launched in December 2016 to evaluate the quality of academic journals.This journal evaluation system is based on Scopus, the world’s largest reference database for abstracts and scientific information, which covers over 22,000 journals, more than Web of Science. CiteScore 2018 measures the average number of citations to a single article generated in 2018 by all articles published in journals in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
Financial Innovation, published by Springer Press, is the first English academic journal of finance established by SWUFE in 2015. In 2017, it was included in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) database of Thomson Reuters. And in 2018, it was included in the Scopus database. The continuous promotion of the international academic influence of journals has laid a solid foundation for the future development of journals, which is of great significance for the continuous expansion of the opening up, the promotion of the academic influence of SWUFE, the reinforcement of the strategic orientation of academic innovation, and the acceleration of the construction of international high-level research-oriented university with distinctive financial and economic characteristics.
