On September 17, 2021, the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Cooperation on the Joint Training Project of High-end Applied Talents between SWUFE and DTZ was successfully held on the Guanghua campus. The signing ceremony was attended by Professor Zhou Mingshan, Dean of the Graduate School of SWUFE, Professor Dong Chun, Associate Dean of the Graduate School of SWUFE, Professor Liu Rong, Dean of the School of Public Finance and Taxation of SWUFE, Professor He Jiaming, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Public Finance and Taxation of SWUFE, Zhang Yupeng, General manager of DTZ (West China) and Chi Hong, head and director of Chengdu Branch of DTZ Valuation and Advisory Services Department. Professor Liu Rong, Dean of the School of Public Finance and Taxation of SWUFE, extended a warm welcome to the guests. She said that the professional master program of asset appraisal at SWUFE is one of the earliest and largest discipline across the country. The asset appraisal sector and talent training are indispensable parts of the high-quality development of the economy and society. The signing of the "SWUFE—DTZ" cooperation memorandum on joint training of the Asset Appraisal Master—High-end Applied Talents Project is a milestone of university-enterprise cooperation and integration of industry and university, which will start a new chapter on masters training in asset appraisal. Dean Liu Rong expressed her gratitude to DTZ for its strong support in the asset appraisal talents training of the School of Finance and Taxation of SWUFE.
Zhang Yupeng, managing director of DTZ in West China, introduced the overview of DTZ. He hoped that bilateral cooperation could integrate the strong academic capabilities and faculty of the School of Public Finance and Taxation and rich industry experiences and platform resources of DTZ to promote the joint training on appraisal talents. Chi Hong, head and director of the Chengdu Branch of DTZ Valuation and Consulting Services Department, reviewed the origin of the project and made a blueprint for talent training in the future.

He also put forward expectations for the efficient implementation of this project. During the discussion, everyone believed that the cooperation between the SWUFE and DTZ is a meaningful exploration of talent training between university and enterprise. Both sides will carry out extensive and in-depth cooperation in curriculum teaching, case development, student participation in research projects, internships and topic selection of dissertation, etc. SWUFE and DTZ will work together to educate industry elites who pursue all-around personal development and the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. It is reported that the "SWUFE—DTZ" high-end talent training project will set up real estate appraisal and asset management orientation in the existing asset appraisal professional degree training, and will start enrolling students in 2022.
