The 4th China Financial Security Forum and the 6th China International Finance Forum of 30 members held in Beijing

From December 25th to 26th, the 4th China Financial Security Forum and the 6th China International Finance 30 Forum, organized by SWUFE and the China International Finance Forum of 30 members and the Division of International Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, hosted by the Institute of Chinese Financial Studies, the Financial Security Collaborative Innovation Center, and the Institute of World Economics and Politics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, co-organized by Beijing Research Institute, Beijing Alumni Association, and Deng Xiaoping Hometown Academy, were successfully held in Beijing. With the theme of "National Financial Security and Global Financial Competitiveness", the forum aims to focus on hot issues in financial security within China from a global perspective and analyze financial competitiveness across the world.


More than 60 guests (online and offline) from domestic universities, "the central bank and two regulatory commissions", and the financial sector participated in this forum, including Shang Fulin, Chairman of the Economic Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and former Chairman of the China Banking Regulatory Commission, Jin Liqun, President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, Yu Hongjun, former Deputy Minister of the Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Yu Yongding, Member of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and President of the Chinese Society of World Economics, Chinese Society Zhou Hong, member of the Faculty of Sciences and Director of the Department of International Studies, Zhang Yuyan, member of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Director of the Institute of World Economics and Politics, Yang Dan, President of Beijing Foreign Studies University, Liu Yuanchun, Vice President of Renmin University of China, Wu Weixing, Vice President of University of International Business and Economics, Wang Yang, vice president of Jiangxi Normal University, Qiao Yide, vice president and secretary-general of Shanghai Development Research Foundation, etc.

Fan Weihong, vice chairman of the party Committee of SWUFE, reviewed the development of SWUFE, introduced the main achievements of SWUFE in the development of financial disciplines in recent years, and presented the context of this forum according to the theme of national financial security and global financial competitiveness.

Shang Fulin gave a video speech on "Financial Security in the Era of Digital Finance". Jin Liqun delivered a keynote speech on "Reflections on Several Issues Concerning National Financial Security", explaining the importance of national financial security and its relationship with global financial competitiveness. Professor Wang Qing, director of the Institute of Chinese Financial Studies, released the "Report on 2021 China Financial Security ", and Fang Ming, director of the Global Strategy Laboratory of SWUFE, released the "Report on 2021-2022 Global Systemic Risk Trend ", Liu Dongmin, director of the International Finance Office of Institute of World Economics and Political Science of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, released the "2021 Global Financial Competitiveness Report". The three reports, closely following the changes of the times under the new pattern of opening up, has made a comprehensive, systematic, and accurate evaluation and analysis of China’s financial security issues, global systemic risk trends, and the status quo of global financial competitiveness.


The forum set up four sub-sections on "Outlook on Overall National Security and National Financial Security", "Global Financial Competitiveness", "China-US Relations and International Financial Changes towards 2035", and "Cross-border Finance, Cross-border Data Governance and National Security". The guests at the conference gave wonderful speeches on financial security issues from different perspectives, conducted an in-depth analysis on how to improve China's financial competitiveness, and came up with targeted suggestions.

Within the new context of national financial security and the new trend of global financial competition, this forum provides a very good opportunity for financial regulators, financial institutions and academia to communicate and evaluate the current state of financial security of China and enhance financial global competitiveness. As an important vehicle for SWUFE to carry out the construction of financial security disciplines, the China Financial Security Forum is held once a year to show the important research results of SWUFE in the field of financial security and build a multi-dimensional communication platform for politics, industry, academia, and research.
