Lyn M. van Swol (PhD University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign) is a professor in the Department of Communication Arts at University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her research examines group decision-making and how groups communicate and share information. She also researches factors that affect advice giving and utilization of advice when making a decision. She is the incoming editor at the journal Small Group Research.
Lecture Preview:
In this lecture, I will go over research into decision-making and influence. I will focus on five research findings that show how to improve your decision-making, emphasizing the practical implications. I will also briefly cover my own research in this context.
