On the afternoon of June 18th, SWUFE held the opening ceremony of 2019 Summer Social Practices—“Going to Rural Areas” & “Building Dreams of Youth”. ZHAO Dewu, the Chairman of the University Council, ZENG Daorong, Vice Chairman of the University Council, Persons in charge of the University Council Office, Organizational and Personnel Department, Publicity Department, Student Affairs Department, Communist Youth League Committee and every school (center) branch Communist Youth League Committee attended the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by ZOU Xueyi, deputy student secretary of the Communist Youth League Committee.
The ceremony began with the video review of 2018 Summer Social Practice—“Going to Rural Areas”. ZHAO Dewu presented the flag for LI Yanan from School of Accounting in grade 2017, the representative of 2019 “Going to Rural Areas” summer social practice, announcing the beginning of the activity.
ZENG Daorong, on behalf of SWUFE expressed kindest regards and sincere wishes to students who are departing for the social practice. He proposed three requests for Swufers: First, shoulder the responsibility, deepen the understanding of society and country, build up a vision and desire for future social development and cultivate a deep love for the party, the country and the people. Always uphold Socialism with Chinese Characteristics and be dedicated to achieving the Chinese dream; second, be down to earth, enhance our ability from practice, combine the strength of our major and people’s demands, highlight the key point of our service, carry out the practice work, strive to build a distinctive brand, serve people with our knowledge, develop powerful ability through hardworking; third, be careful, make the practice work smoothly, keep “safety first” in mind, obey the team’s disciplines, strengthen the safety education, make advance investigation and full preparation, ensure safety and property.
WEI He, the student representative from School of Law in grade 2017 delivered a speech. He shared his experience of social practice and pointed out Swufers’ responsibility. He said he would keep his new mission in mind and devote to the development of the new era.
The 2019 SWUFE’s “Going to Rural Areas” social practice focuses on celebration of 70th anniversary of China and 100th anniversary of the May 4th Movement as well as “labour education” in new era. With “Be loyal to the Communist Party, devote to the development of the new era” as its theme, SWUFE will send about 400 teams, over 5000 teachers and students including 9 types of teams, like the propaganda team, history achievement observing team, promoting rule of law team, supporting agriculture with technology team, education and care service team, practice in China team, to 31 provinces, cities and autonomous regions as well as 93 counties in Sichuan Province to carry out practice activities.
