The "InBev Smart Cloud Training Program", jointly organized by School of Finance, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE), Fintech Innovation Center of SWUFE (FIC), Jiaozi Institute of Financial Technology Innovation and Inbev Cloud (Chengdu) Technology Co., LTD., was successfully held in Jiaozi Financial Technology Center. The training is based on the fintech topic--"Analyst's Think Tank: News self-recommendation based on Financial Timing".
The training focuses on financial technology industry, relying on artificial intelligence technology to develop an application program that "automatically matches and marks financial time series change points, intelligently screens and summarizes news, and finally generates graphs with flexible and interactive functions". By combining the time series data with specific news, it helps financial analysts to filter out "critical events" from complex information, explains the mechanism behind the financial market, and provides support for investment decision-making, which significantly improves the efficiency of analysts.
The 13 candidates of the training program consist of undergraduates and graduate students from School of Finance. Students can use the supercomputing resources provided by InBev Smart Cloud at any time, and complete the project research and development independently after being trained by multiple teachers and industry experts. The training will help students gain a deeper understanding of the cutting-edge technology of fintech, broaden their horizons, and improve the ability to combine theory with practice.
Since 2017, the FIC has been promoting university-industrial cooperation, collaborative innovation and commercialization of research achievements, and has formed a talent training program featuring “Enterprises leading, government guidance and university cooperation” through the innovative platform of "laboratory + incubator + university" and with strong support of the university and various partners in order to supply innovative talents that are urgently needed in the financial industry.
This training is another exploration of FIC with the new mode of "deep integration of industry, university and research" and the cultivation of "new finance and economics" talents.
