On 28th September, Professor Li Yunkuan, a retired faculty member of School of Business Administration, celebrated her 100th birthday and received warmest congratulations and sincere wishes from SWUFE.
Zhao Dewu, Party Secretary of SWUFE, Zhuo Zhi, President of SWUFE, and heads of School of Business Administration and Office of Retirement Services visited Prof. Li with a birthday cake, flowers, and best regards. Delighted to find her in good health, they recalled how Prof. Li had contributed to the cause of education, to students, and to SWUFE with her professionalism and efforts. Prof. Li, hale and hearty, talked about her recent life and thanked SWUFE for its blessings. Later, in harmony and laughter, the visitors sang a birthday song and addressed more greetings to Prof. Li.
Born in 1921, Prof. Li had been engaged in teaching at SWUFE since 1952, which was then called Sichuan College of Finance and Economics. Her stretch of 69-year work and life in SWUFE had witnessed the university’s development and changes over half a century.
