In November 2021, the first global "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Proficiency Competition Finals for Primary School Students with the theme of "Chinese,Joy & Fun!" was successfully held online. In this competition, Viktoria Mihajlova, a student of the Confucius Institute at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, represented North Macedonia and competed with contestants from more than 30 countries on the same stage. After several rounds of intense competition, she finally won the first prize with her outstanding performance for this wonderful Chinese journey.
The nine-year-old Viktoria is a lively, versatile and intelligent little girl. She especially likes learning Chinese. She always arrives at classroom ahead of time to make preparation for the class. She is very dynamic in class and often acts as the teacher's assistant, leading her classmates to learn Chinese songs together. Although Viktoria has only learned Chinese for only two years, she has been able to speak fluent Chinese in daily conversations. In this Chinese language competition, Viktoria performed a beautiful song "Where is Spring", which had won the compliment of judges.
Viktoria won the first prize in the finals of the first global "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Proficiency Competition for Primary School Students, which is the best result of the Confucius Institute at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje in all kinds of Chinese Bridge competition in recent years. This prize would inspire more students in North Macedonia to learn Chinese for their dreams and happiness. We wish them a happy learning experience and a promising future!
