On December 9, SWUFE and the Sichuan Provincial Taxation Bureau of the State Administration of Taxation held a signing ceremony for the cooperation of building the SWUFE Tax Education Base in Chengdu to jointly explore a new model of university-government cooperation. Li Jie, director of the Sichuan Provincial Taxation Bureau of the State Administration of Taxation, and Zhuo Zhi, president of SWUFE, signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of the two parties.
The joint construction of the SWUFE Tax Education Base can nurture comprehensively developed financial and tax professionals in the new era and better serve the economic and social development of Sichuan Province. Following the standards and requirements of the Ministry of Education and the Provincial Department of Education on the construction of off-campus practical educational bases, SWUFE Tax Education Base will focus on the frontiers of national fiscal and taxation practices to explore the mechanism and system that combines university and industry on talents training. It aims to build a high-quality platform of education resources, a high-quality tax education resource database and case database, and train full-time tax teachers with both theory and practice, to create a top-notch talent training base for "digital finance and taxation".
Over the years, SWUFE has maintained a good cooperative relationship with the Sichuan Provincial Taxation Bureau. SWUFE has accumulated adequate practical experiences in the construction of training bases, tax law knowledge competitions, joint training, scientific research, and decision-making consultation, etc, which has laid a solid foundation for the Co-construction of education bases.
For the next steps, the two parties will strengthen exchanges and advance cooperation in accordance to ensure mutual benefit and win-win outcomes, and promote exchanges and cooperation on major scientific researches about the innovation and development of Sichuan and Chongqing and the construction of the "Belt and Road Initiative", to contribute to the high-quality development of Sichuan Province.
