On May 10th, the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation agreement between SWUFE and Sichuan Natural Resources Investment Group was held in the group’s headquarter. Chen Guilin, chairman and secretary of the Party Committee of Sichuan Natural Resources Investment Group, and Zhao Dewu, party secretary of SWUFE attended the signing ceremony and gave a speech. Jiang Tao, general manager of Sichuan Natural Resources Investment Group and Zeng Daorong, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of SWUFE signed the contract on behalf of both sides.
Chen Guilin welcomed SWUFE delegation and then elaborated on the market-oriented transformation of Sichuan Natural Resources Investment Group. He pointed out that SWUFE is a national “211 Project” and“985 Project” advanced discipline platform university directly under the Ministry of Education. It is also one of the first batch of national “double-first-class project” universities in China. He said that the Group is in a critical stage of reform and development, and is in urgent need of in-depth collaboration with top-notch universities like SWUFE to improve its capabilities in industry-university-research collaboration through working with SWUFE and to further bring the role of innovation and talents into full play.
Zhao introduced SWUFE’s disciplinary strengths and strategies for future development. He said that Sichuan Natural Resources Investment Group is a leading geological exploration enterprise of Sichuan province. The Group itself is a manifest of a major achievement in deepening the reform of state-owned assets and state-owned enterprises. The Group is also a leader in strategic mineral resources exploration and development and a major investor in the field of natural resources investment and financing in Sichuan Province. Sichuan Natural Resources Investment Group and SWUFE share the common vision of pursuing excellence and shoulder the common responsibility of promoting the high-quality development of Sichuan Province. It is hoped that by signing such a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement, the two sides will achieve synergy in mineral industry development, deepen the integration of industry and education, and strengthen collaborative education. It is also hoped that both sides will be able to jointly contribute to the development of Chengdu-Chongqing Twin Cities Economic Circle and western China's financial and economic talent highland, and transform the respective advantages in resources, innovation and competition into advantages in cooperation and development.
Witnessed by participants from both sides, Jiang Tao and Zeng Daorong signed the strategic cooperation agreement. According to the agreement, the two sides will carry out in-depth university-industry strategic partnership in high-quality talent training, modern financial development, innovation platform building and other aspects.

Before the signing ceremony, the SWUFE delegation visited the exhibition hall of Sichuan Natural Resources Investment Group. The two sides held discussions on modern enterprise management, staff training, employment and recruitment, project cooperation and other topics.
