On June 8, Elsevier, the world's largest publishing group, officially launched its 2021 journal CiteScore. Financial Innovation, a journal sponsored by SWUFE, reached 6.7 in 2021 CiteScore, ranking 23rd among 299 journals in the Finance category, higher than 92% of similar journals.
CiteScore, launched by Elsevier in December 2016, is an important indicator for evaluating the impact of academic journals. The journal evaluation system is based on Scopus, the world's largest database of abstracts and citations, covering 27,200 active publications across 332 subject areas.
Financial Innovation is SWUFE’s first English academic journal published by Springer Nature. Since its inception in June 2015, the journal has been included in SSCI, Scopus, DOAJ, ProQuest, CNKI, and other databases, and has been selected for the first quarter of the Economics category of "Periodical Zone Table Upgrade Edition of Documentation Information Center of Chinese Academy of Sciences" and "FMS Recommended List of High-quality International Journals in Management Science".
The outcome of Financial Innovation’s CiteScore marks the increasing international influence of the journal, which plays a crucial role in continuously opening to the outside world, strengthening the strategic orientation of academic innovation, accelerating the construction of "new liberal arts" and comprehensively promoting the "new finance and economics" strategy.
