SWUFE held the 2023 Study Abroad Fair in Liulin Gymnasium on the afternoon of April 18th. Nearly 1,200 students attended the event, and over 200 mobility programs were presented at the Fair. Li Yongqiang (Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President of SWUFE) attended the opening ceremony.
In his opening remarks, Li Yongqiang addressed that people-to-people friendship is key to state-to-state relations, and amity between the people lies in mutual understanding. In China’s interaction with the rest of the world, overseas students frame the national image and are the messengers. It is hoped that students from SWUFE will strengthen their ideals and convictions, deepen their sense of responsibility, “safely study abroad,” bravely scale new heights while studying overseas, and devote themselves to building a modern China after returning to China.
This Study Abroad Fair is an important measure for SWUFE to fully unlock and strengthen international exchanges and cooperation. Based on the successful hosting of the previous six fairs, 42 booths were set up in this Fair, and 23 universities and colleges from more than ten countries and regions were attracted, including ten universities and colleges with three international accreditation (EQUIS, AACSB, AMBA) and four of the world’s top 100 universities. At the Fair, the schools (institutes), relevant functional departments, and overseas universities consulted and answered the questions of SWUFE students on various programs such as CSC-funded programs, exchange programs, short-term study tours, double degree programs, and master’s degree programs. Twelve information sessions were held on-site, introducing many high-quality overseas study destinations and universities to students.
Since 2014, the SWUFE Study Abroad Fair has been providing highly integrated program resources as well as professional and targeted guidance and suggestions for SWUFE students via successfully building the university-level information platform of mobility programs with the largest amount of information and the most extensive coverage through effective integration of international exchange program resources and information.
