Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE), in collaboration with the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI) and the Research Center for New Generation Artificial Intelligence Development, co-hosted the 2nd National AI Application Innovation Challenge Competition in Smart Finance on May 29 in Mianyang, Sichuan. The event was also supported by Nankai University, Chengdu Jiaozi Financial Holding Group Co,.Ltd, and the Chengdu Branch of Industrial Bank.
With the theme "Scenario-Powered · Data-Driven National Strength," the competition focuses on the "AI+Finance" scenario, aiming to establish a global platform for AI talent development and promote the growth of AI expertise in the Sichuan-Chongqing region. The competition, leveraging the region's strengths in smart finance and digital economy, seeks to uncover innovative applications in areas such as financial marketing, risk control, investment, security, and more. It encourages participants to develop practical solutions, fostering collaboration between academia, industry, and research for the creation of distinctive AI scenarios, services, and achievements.
During the event, the organizing committee offered access to real-life scenarios and data for the competing teams, fostering a platform for AI application implementation, entrepreneurship, investment attraction, and technology transfer. This initiative is expected to invigorate the region's high-quality development.
Additionally, SWUFE's President, Li Yongqiang, attended the 2024 China (Mianyang) Science and Technology Innovation Conference and visited the exhibition of scientific and technological achievements.
