From August 22 to August 27, the 2024 China-ASEAN Student Football Invitation Tournament was held in Guiyang. Entrusted by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Education, a joint team from the School of Sports Science and Physical Education and the College of International Education at the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE) represented the university in the event.
Over the course of a four-day tournament, more than 70 young football talents from China and ASEAN countries gathered for a grand sports spectacle. The SWUFE football team emerged victorious after three consecutive wins, securing the championship title. Zhu Fengyan, a student player, was awarded "Best Goalkeeper," while teacher Jian Jiajun received the accolade of "Best Coach." Throughout the competition, the entire SWUFE football squad demonstrated outstanding teamwork and perseverance, ultimately bringing honor to their university and showcasing the vibrant spirit and exemplary demeanor of SWUFE students.
