From October 19 to 20, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, as one of the main organizers, successfully held the intelligent finance special advancement round of the 2024 Second National AI Application Scenario Innovation Challenge at the Jiaozi Fintech Center Chengdu, themed "Scenario-Driven, Intelligent Nation."
After objective, fair, and impartial evaluations by experts, a total of 36 participating teams emerged victorious. Four teams received special awards, nine teams were awarded first prizes, and 23 teams won second prizes. The teams that won special and first prizes will advance to the national finals of the 2024 Second National AI Application Scenario Innovation Challenge. Two teams from our university received a special award and a first prize, respectively.
Following the award ceremony, representatives from the special award-winning teams shared insights on their projects' core technological advantages, implementation plans, commercialization models, and future prospects.
The national AI application scenario innovation challenge in intelligent finance adheres to the principles of "industry guidance, government support, market mechanisms, and industrial implementation." It aims to explore outstanding cases, promote the popularization of financial technology, and build a new model for collaboration among industry, academia, and research. The challenge focuses on enhancing research through competition, attracting talent, and fostering production, aiming to deeply integrate AI enterprises with the innovation chain, capital chain, talent chain, and industrial chain to support the real economy. It serves as a competitive platform for full-stack AI scenario innovation, project attraction, capital cooperation, and industrial ecosystem development, generating a series of demonstration projects and industrial case studies that inject new momentum into China's new industrialization and the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle's new productive forces.
