SWUFE’s 9th International Culture Festival Successfully Held

On April 29, the 9th International Culture Festival of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE) took place at Jiming Square on the Liulin Campus. Students from over 90 countries and regions gathered to celebrate and share their cultures in this vibrant exchange event.

The opening ceremony began with a traditional Chinese martial arts performance, followed by a spectacular showcase of global talent, including singing, dancing, drama, and musical performances by international and Chinese students. Over 40 beautifully decorated booths gave attendees a taste of diverse cultures through art, customs, and food from around the world.

The festival also featured several hands-on heritage experience zones, where participants could try their hand at traditional Chinese crafts like Shu embroidery, paper cutting, sugar figurine blowing, and clay sculpting, gaining a deeper appreciation for Chinese culture.

Through a wide array of cultural activities, this year’s festival provided a dynamic platform for intercultural exchange and understanding. It offered students an opportunity to explore global cultures, build cross-cultural friendships, and strengthen the spirit of collaboration. As a key part of the “Study at SWUFE” brand, the International Culture Festival has become a signature event celebrating diversity and fostering cultural dialogue on campus.
