From May 27th to 28th, the 2025 International Symposium on Financial Innovation, hosted by the editorial department of the university's journal Financial Innovation, was successfully held. Over thirty scholars from countries and regions including China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Turkey gathered to collectively envision the future blueprint for financial innovation. President Li Yongqiang, and Vice President Ma Yongqiang attended the event.
During the conference, the journal released its special tenth-anniversary issue, titled "Blockchain, Crypto Assets, and Financial Innovation—A Decade of Insights and Advances." Appointment letters were also presented to the newly selected members of the journal's editorial board.
In the keynote speech session, fourteen scholars delivered insightful presentations on themes such as artificial intelligence and finance, data elements, credit risk, FinTech, and capital markets. Speakers included Professor Enrique Herrera-Viedma, a member of the Academia Europaea and Vice-President of the University of Granada, Spain; Professor Wang Xuhui, Deputy Party Secretary and President of Dongbei University of Finance and Economics; Professor Chen Rongda, President of Zhejiang Financial College; and Professor Hasan Dinçer from Istanbul Medipol University, Turkey.
