
On December 6, the Seminar on the Development of Statistics in the Era of AI and the Inauguration Ceremony of the Laboratory for Financial Data Intelligence and Innovation were successfully held at SWUFE. More than 200 representatives—including experts from the National Bureau of Statistics, Tsinghua University, Xiamen University, JD.com, DataYes (Shanghai) Technology Co., Ltd., over 50 institutions, universities, research institutes, well-known enterprises, as well as SWUFE faculty and students—attended the event.


President Li Yongqiang delivered a welcome address on behalf of the university, introducing SWUFE’s practices and achievements in advancing the “New Finance and Economics” strategy in the era of intelligent data science.
Vice President Li Zhisheng read the official announcement on establishing the Laboratory for Financial Data Intelligence and Innovation, SWUFE.


Chairman Zhao Jianjun presented appointment letters to members of the Laboratory Construction and Management Committee, the Academic and Technical Committee, as well as to the Director and Executive Director of the laboratory.
Laboratory Director Lan Wei delivered a report outlining the laboratory’s development goals, research directions, and future plans.

Following the opening ceremony, keynote speeches were delivered by:Zhu Hongtu, former Chief Scientist of DiDi Global Inc. and Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Huang Guoming, Chief Engineer of the Sichuan Big Data Center. Zheng Yu, Vice President and Chief Data Scientist of JD.com

In the afternoon, the Laboratory Development Consultation Meeting was held. The laboratory’s research teams presented three major projects—China’s Green Finance Digital-Intelligent Monitoring System、FinSentiAgents: Multi-Agent Construction and Application for Financial Market Sentiment、InnovInsight: Enterprise Innovation Assessment and Industry Analysis Based on Multidimensional Data Integration.
Experts and scholars engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges on the research progress and future development of these projects.
