On March 26, Logan Bannister, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Victoria University of Wellington (VUW), New Zealand, visited SWUFE with her delegation. Vice President Li Zhisheng met the delegation.
Li Zhisheng extended a warm welcome to Professor Bannister and her delegation, and briefly introduced SWUFE’s history and recent development. He noted that SWUFE remains committed to its “deepening openness” strategy and continues to strengthen partnerships with top-tier international universities. He highlighted the strong alignment between the two institutions in fields such as business, computer science, and the humanities, providing a solid foundation for collaboration. He also expressed hope that both sides would explore new areas of cooperation, including student and faculty exchanges, joint programs, collaborative research, and joint discipline development, as part of efforts to drive internationalization in finance and economics education.
Logan Bannister thanked SWUFE for the warm hospitality and shared an overview of VUW’s strengths and its vision for international partnerships. She emphasized that VUW places great importance on its relationship with SWUFE, adding that ongoing collaboration in student exchange programs and joint talent development has laid a strong foundation for deeper engagement. She noted that the visit aims to further strengthen exchanges between the two universities and expand cooperation across multiple disciplines for mutual benefit.
Leaders from the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, the School of Public Finance and Taxation, the School of Management Science and Engineering, the Faculty of International Studies, and the Study Abroad Institute also attended the meeting.
