From April 23 to 25, the final round of the 3rd National College Student Career Planning Competition was held in Tianjin. SWUFE students delivered outstanding performances, standing out among thousands of participants nationwide with their strong career planning skills and well-rounded competence. Yang Pengyou, from the School of Public Finance and Taxation, won the National Gold Medal. Zhang Runjia, from the School of Law, and Hu Guohao and Bai Ying, from the School of Finance, Institute of Chinese Financial Studies, won the Provincial Gold Medal. The awards demonstrated SWUFE’s solid achievements in career-focused education.
The competition, themed "Building Dreams for Youth, Charting a Career Path for the Future," was jointly organized by the Ministry of Education and the Tianjin Municipal People's Government. Following a three-tier structure (university–provincial–national), it involved 2,833 universities and over 20.55 million students, with nearly 800 advancing to the national finals.
Since the competition kicked off in October 2025, SWUFE has actively supported students through systematic career development services. An internal selection process (school–university level) attracted over 5,300 student participants. The University also offered a range of initiatives, including "Career Café," "Corporate Open Day," "Job-seeker Micro-Lectures," "Guanghua Talent Bootcamp," and expert coaching sessions, to help students explore career paths, set clear goals, and improve employability.
Building on this success, SWUFE will further integrate career education into the entire talent development process, strengthen its "four-dimensional" employment education system, and encourage students to align their personal aspirations with national and social needs. The goal is to support students in achieving high-quality employment and to cultivate responsible, innovative, globally-minded talents in finance and economics.
