On May 19, the awards ceremony of the Guanghua Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition 2026 and the SWUFE selection for the China International College Students’ Innovation Competition was held at SWUFE’s Liulin Campus. President Li Yongqiang attended the ceremony.
Li Yongqiang extended congratulations to the award-winning teams and students. He noted that SWUFE remains committed to the vision of innovation and entrepreneurship education, treating it as a key vehicle for fulfilling the fundamental mission of moral education and as an important pathway for reforming talent cultivation models. The University continues to refine its educational mechanism that encourages learning, teaching, and creativity through competition. He encouraged SWUFE students to keep in mind the greater good of the country, identify opportunities for innovation amidst broader trends, and anchor their values in serving national development. He called on them to build solid capabilities, enhance their overall competence through innovation training, and strengthen their creative foundation through interdisciplinary learning. He also urged them to root their efforts in practical fields, shoulder responsibilities through persistent exploration, and translate knowledge into action to drive the application of results.

This year’s competition brought together over 300 projects and more than 3,000 participants. Following an intensive preliminary and final selection process, 8 gold awards, 16 silver awards, and 24 bronze awards were presented. Representatives of winning teams shared their project outcomes in areas such as technological innovation, digital economy, and rural revitalization. The attending leaders presented certificates of honour to the winning teams.
SWUFE will continue to strengthen its collaborative education system and support platforms for innovation and entrepreneurship, and will integrate competition-based learning into the curriculum. These efforts aim to provide young students with more solid institutional support and broader opportunities to engage in innovation and bring their achievements to fruition, helping more innovative outcomes move beyond campus and into society and the forefront of national development.
Vice Chairman Ming Haifeng, along with heads of relevant administrative departments, youth league leaders from schools and research institutes, faculty advisors, and representatives of award-winning teams, attended the ceremony.
