Minister of Education Huai Jinpeng Visited SWUFE for Research and Inspection
On June 22, Minister of Education Huai Jinpeng and his delegation visited SWUFE for research and inspection. Hu Yun, Vice Governor of the People's Government of Sichuan Province, SWUFE Chairman Zhao Jianjun, and SWUFE President Li Yongqiang, accompanied the visit. All university leaders attended the research symposium.
Huai Jinpeng visited the university history museum, Liu Shibai Academy, and the Research Institute of Xi Jinping Economic Thought. At Liu Shibai Academy, he focused on inspecting the "one-stop student community" new academy model and the cultivation of top-notch talents in basic economics disciplines. At the Research Institute of Xi Jinping Economic Thought, Huai Jinpeng exchanged views with four research teams in fields of political economies, modern finance, machine learning, and blockchain. He fully affirmed the important achievements SWUFE has made in advancing disciplinary development.
At the research symposium, Huai Jinpeng affirmed SWUFE's distinctive strengths and contributions. He encouraged SWUFE to take the lead in serving national interests through its financial and economic expertise. He also instructed us to leverage the disciplinary advantages to build an independent knowledge system for Chinese economics and to advance frontier research in technology finance, thus to optimize disciplinary structures and cultivate high-quality innovative talents to support national governance modernization and the development of a financial powerhouse.
At the meeting, Huai Jinpeng and his delegation held discussions with the university's leaderships, joined by officials from the Sichuan Provincial Education Working Committee and the Provincial Department of Education.
Looking forward, SWUFE will seize strategic opportunities to advance moral education and "Double First-Class" development, address the challenge of financial education in the intelligent era, and achieve distinctive high-impact outcomes in serving national strategies through its advantageous disciplines.
